Sights You Will See:

BAY AERIAL offers truly the ideal Helicopter Tour of the San Fransisco Bay Area. It leaves from San Carlos Airport on the peninsula and flies north between SFO (San Francisco International Airport) and OAK (Oakland International Airport), with a rare look at some of the busiest international airports in the country. The tour then goes northeast by the famous USS HORNET aircraft carrier which was used in 1969 to retrieve the moonwalk space shuttle APOLLO 11 after it splashed down.

The flight then proceeds by the Port of San Francisco & Port of Oakland then AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants and over the newly updated Bay Bridge, Salesforce Tower, downtown and the  Embarcadero Ferry Building.  Over the City, the pilot may orbit and fly around downtown which includes the TransAmerica Building, Coit Tower, Pier 39 & insane views of the city waterfront etc..  Then you fly over Pier 39,  Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz, Angel Island, near Tiburon, Sausalito and then the “Golden Gate Bridge“.

San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge Aerial View

The Bay Aerial Helicopter Tour continues west over the famous Golden Gate Bridge which offers spectacular views & an incredible photo opportunity with the San Francisco City backdrop. Then you will fly over by Marin Headlands, and Point Bonita Lighthouse then South by The “Presidio”, the historic Cliff House Restaurant & Sutra Bathes, The Sunset District, and an amazing view of Golden Gate Park, Ocean Beach and the many surfers. All the while enjoying the magnificent city & coastal views from all angles.

What You May See:

You will then maybe see the hang gliders, seals, and sometimes abundant and sometimes elusive whales and maybe even sharks. The flight continues further south past the town of Pacifica, “Devils Slide” and Monterra Beach, which are other popular places for whale watching. Close by is The James Fitzgerald Marine Reserve and a spot for an up close viewing of San Francisco’s colorful variety of marine life such as seals, starfish, coral & anemones.

Flying southward reveals the famous international Surfing spot called “Mavericks” that yields some of the largest surfing waves on the globe. An International surfing competition is held here every year during the winter and Bay Aerial fly’s the film crews for the competition. Then the tour continues on by historic fishing village of Princeton Harbor and toward the town of Half Moon Bay.

San Francisco Helicopter Riding Tour Wave

Further south the grounds of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and links style golf courses on the cliffs and then pristine farmlands & massive natural sea caves, beaches and seals by the hundreds. Depending on the winds we may continue further south for  more natural sea cliffs or turn inland over the beautiful ranches and  farmlands of San Gregorio and over “skyline” to an awesome overall view of the Silicon Valley from San Jose to San Francisco.

Historical Locations:

This unique helicopter tour of San Fransisco will pass many historical locations, i.e. Alcatraz, Fishermans Wharf, Palace of Fine Arts, Presidio, Marin Headlands, lighthouses, etc, and natural beauty usually only seen by birds.

As we approach the 45min mark, and on our return to San Carlos Airport, we pass over gorgeous and protected ranch lands and then incredible multi million dollar estates, as well as veiws of Facebook, Google, Apple, HP,  and thus a complete overview of Silicon Valley.

You will most definitely enjoy this ride, as our helicopters offer safe, comfortable and incredible vantage points while efficiently covering lots of ground and the most popular and memorable bay area sites. Please remember helicopters are much, much smoother than airplanes and so the ride is superior.

Please note that when there is coastal fog, the normal tour may be altered, delayed or even rescheduled in the best interest of client.

Remember Safety is our number one concern.  Try our unique TOUR and see what BAY AERIAL and The Bay Area really have to offer.
