THE WORKS Flight Details
This truly ideal helicopter tour of the San Fransisco Bay Area starts at San Carlos Airport on the peninsula and flies north between SFO and OAK up the East Bay Shoreline, with a rare look at some of the busiest International airports in the country. The tour then goes Northeast by the famous USS HORNET aircraft carrier which was used in 1969 to retrieve the Moonwalk space shuttle, The APOLLO 11, after splashdown.
The helicopter tour proceeds to the port of San Francisco which includes AT&T Park, the home of the San Francisco Giants, and over the SF Bay Bridge, near the Embarcadero Ferry Building. Upon reaching the City, the pilot will orbit and fly around the Marina district which includes the Coit Tower, Pier 39 & insane views of the city. Then you fly over to Alcatraz Island, Angel Island, Tiburon, Sausalito and the “Marin Headlands”.
The Bay Aerial Helicopter Tour continues west and over the famous Golden Gate Bridge which offers spectacular views & an incredible photo opportunity with the San Francisco City backdrop. Then you will fly over Point Bonita and South by The “Presidio”, the historic Cliff House & Sutra Bathes, The Sunset District, and an amazing view of Golden Gate Park, Ocean Beach and the many surfers. All the while enjoying the magnificent city & coastal views from all angles.
You will then maybe see the hang gliders, seals, and sometimes the elusive whales and sharks. The flight continues further south past Pacifica, “Devils Slide” and Monterra Beach, which are other popular places for whale watching. Close by is a marine reserve and a spot for an up close viewing of San Francisco’s colorful variety of marine life such as seals, starfish, coral & anemones. Flying southward reveals the famous “Mavericks” surf spot that has yielded some of the largest surfing waves on the globe. An International competition is held here every year during the winter. Then the tour continues on by historic Princeton Harbor and toward the town of Half Moon Bay.
Further south the unique grounds of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on the cliffs and then pristine & massive natural sea caves, beaches and seals by the hundreds. Depending on the winds we may continue further south to historic lighthouses and more natural sea cliffs or turn inland over the beautiful and untouched and protected coastline and farmlands of San Gregorio and over “skyline” to an awesome overall view of the entire Silicon Valley from San Jose to San Francisco.
This unique helicopter tour of San Fransisco will pass many historic locations and natural beauty usually only seen by birds.
As we approach the 1-hour mark, we return to San Carlos Airport, but not before passing over incredible multi million dollar estates, as well as Facebook, Google, Apple, HP, and a complete overview of Silicon Valley.
You will most definitely enjoy this ride, as our helicopters offer safe, comfortable and incredible vantage points while efficiently covering the most popular and memorable bay area sites.
Please note that when there is coastal fog, the normal tour may be altered, delayed or even rescheduled.
Remember Safety is our number one concern. Try Our unique TOUR and see what The Bay Area really has to offer.
